Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant Receives Agora Award

On Tuesday, June 2, Greater Spokane Incorporated announced the winners of the 2009 AGORA Awards, recognizing businesses in our region that exemplify leadership in supporting a strong economy and quality of life. Winners were selected by an independent team of volunteer judges based on a list of criteria. The Women's and Children's Free Restaurant received this prestigious award in the 501(c)3 non profit category. The Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant follows many of the best practices found in large private sector businesses. These are people with the vision to utilize every possible resource, to produce high quality meals for women and children in Spokane who may otherwise go without proper nutrition. The Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant promotes good nutrition and healthy eating habits throughout our programs. The Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant has been serving the needs of low-income women and children since 1988 from their location at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 1620 N. Monroe St.

To Dine with Us
Our dining room doors are open to any woman or child who comes for dinner on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 6:00, which are our winter hours. We welcome you and hope you enjoy the delicious and healthy meals that we prepare for you.

On Fridays women and children are invited to lunch, 12:30-2:30 pm, and to Fresh Market Take Out, 1:00-3:00pm

The Restaurant is located in the basement of St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 1620 N. Monroe.
